Pottery Courses – Wiltshire & France
POTTERY COURSES at Le Mas Sarrat
The Pottery is in a small hamlet in the stunning Lot region of South West France. We have a lovely and light, fully equipped Pottery with 3 electric wheels and an electric kiln.
We set up our workshop in France several years ago now. I’m delighted that Emily Myers , Jennifer Hall and Katherine Winfrey amongst others, join me in France as guest tutors.
We offer 2 day and 4 day courses, the 2 day courses are Mon – Tues or Thurs – Friday. The 4 day courses run from Mon – Friday with the Wednesday off to give you the opportunity to explore the local markets or vineyards, or spend time in the workshop honing your skills!
We can also offer accommodation on site, Fiona, my sister, has 2 holiday cottages, please have a look at her site, she generally caters for young families but these beautiful cottages are equally suitable for Potters!! https://www.lemassarrat.com/

Max and I had a wonderful stay. Ideal for a 27 year old adult son and a 63 year old Mum! We potted for a week. We rode our fab rented bikes every single day after potting. We discovered routes N,S,E and W between 17h and 21h and most of the non-potting day (Wednesday). We really have no words; the countryside, the restaurants, the silence, the stars, the animals, the rural noises, the companionship. And our fabulous hosts: Fiona of course and Jen and Katherine, our pottery teachers. We feel the luckiest of luckys. We will return with husband and siblings (September 2025)
We’ve spent a wonderful week here in Willow Cottage and absolutely loved the experience. Of course one of the highlights was taking part in the pottery course run by Jennie and Emily. AN INTRODUCTION TO POTTERY
2 DAY POTTERY COURSES
The courses are aimed at enthusiastic Beginners and those wanting to improve their skills
They cover the basics of various handbuilding techniques and throwing.
You will be guided through the processes by Emily Myers & Jennie Gilbert
The Courses take place in Jennie’s workshop in the Chalke Valley, west of Salisbury in Wiltshire.
